Metal Female Voices Fest VII

Oktoberhallen Wieze (Belgium)

(Panasonic DMC-TZ7)

Although it was quite early in the morning on Sunday, the hall was already quite crowded when To-Mera opened the second festval day that would nearly be as long as the one before. After I warmed up a little with a nice hot cup of coffee (Luckily the first night frost of the autumn with temperatures down to -3°C appeared. God, was it cold inside my tent!) I was ready to follow the show of the English. They performed astonishing well. I hadn’t heard of them before but what they offered to the audience was really excellent. Not as bombastic and excessive show as the ones of the festivals‘ headliner but very insistent. Julie Kiss and her band presented not only songs of their new EP that would come out in several days but also several old ones. With a great singer and a very good Tom MacLean at the guitar, there is no need for a big show on stage.
All in all a quite beginning of the day that would continue very promising. So from that point of view not bad at all.
