After they were already guests two years ago on this festival the Norvegian around front woman Catherine Paulsen and grunter Ronny Thorsen were allowed to have one more gig on Metal Female Voices Fest to be added this year. They did not bring new material with them and the last album is also available for some time now (at least since 2009) but instead you cannot expect a bad show.
They are operating on their new album at full stretch but unfortunately there was no small teaser given on the new opus. Instead they provided a nice cross section based on the four former albums. Sovereign as usual Ronny was taking the audience to working temperature and also Catherine was not standing behind him related to this. Permanently there was movement on and in front of the stage. Ronny threw his grunts toward one whilst Cathrines soprano was casting a spell over the audience during the refrains and all that accompanied by a driving gloomy sound of the other band members.
In my point of view a really good gig with one stunner after the other blowing up into ones face and being a lot of fun. Anyhow I would have liked it more that they would have returned the next year with new material (let's see what will happen next year). In each case it was not annoying and for me one of the highlights of the day.
