Wacken Open Air XXIII

Wacken (Germany)

(Pentax K-5 with Sigma AF 70-200mm 2.8 EX DC APO HSM II)

The last day of the Wacken Open Air started and as you always should start with what you ended the day before I directly went to the Bullhead Tent. There the German junior band Eschenbach was the first item on the schedule. The guys around front men Riitchy Schwarz as well as guitarist and name giving person Philip Eschenbach showed clear rock that was pushing really good combating the fatigue.
Although the number of people inside the tent was still extremely overseeable there was a quite good atmosphere in front of the stage. The gig itself could be called solid. The first part was perfomed with Riitchy Schwarz on microphone and Philip Eschenbach on guitar, during the second part they exchanged their tools and did their job really good. They were supported by Nils Berger on drums as well as Paul Bart on bass. Overall a quite entertaining opener into the day.
