In the afternoon I went onto the main area for the first time in front of the Louder Stage. Here Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti presented with his equally named band songs of their current album “A Dying Machine”. That is a great concept album which was released in June. From style point of view you could classify Tremonti best into the melodic thrash area rather than anything else.
But there should not be only songs of the latest album but also great tracks of the other three released so far. And as the music was just as Tremonti were inviting the people to circle pits it did not take a long time until the first clouds of dust drifted across the audience in front of the stage. Besides Mark Tremonti there are also guitarist Eric Fiedman and drummer Garrett Whitlock belonging fix to the project who all provided a really energetic show. During songs like the opener “Cauterize” of the equally named album or the title giving track of the latest album really nobody was able to stand still in front of the stage. Only the track of crowd surfers was still neglectable small so that the security guys inside the pit had a relatively quiet gig.
I found Tremonti not bad at all and for something in between it is at least not a bad choice. In each case something that was real fun. Let’s have a look whether the day continues like that.
