Metal Female Voices Fest X

The last time Sarah Jezebel Deva was guest at Metal Female Voices Fest two years ago. To that time with a really disappointing show where she was standing shy and frightened at the background of the stage and let her bassist take the action.
New gig, new cast, new show so starting over. Well, nearly because the outfit was the old one. But right from the start Sarah was standing at the front of the stage being much more in the spot. You could hear songs from different periods. There were "God Has A Plan For Us" or "I'm Calling" from the Angtoria album, with "The World Won't Hold Your Hand" or "Silence Please" also something from her own album "The Corruption Of Mercy". Overall she seemed way more confident and had a better charisma (what you absolutely need when wearing such an outfit) but which was not really appreciated by the audience. Because compared to the bands before the venue got quite empty.
During that show ther was also a reference to the former employer Cradle Of Filth because "This Is My Curse" is normally sung together with Dani Filth but according to Sarah he was just at the Bingo. So he could only be heared played from tape. Another topic she reference to was "Seashepherd" who were joining the festival with a booth at the metal market and she praised their work (which is not undisputable). Finally Sarah dedicated a short thank you to the promoters of the festival to give such small bands like hers a posibility to present themselves.
that is where I have to butt in. The show was way better than the last time but still nothing overwhelming. And if somebody is using his slot time of only 50 minutes in that way that he is using only 35 minutes of it and of that much time is lost by talking should not wonder that he or she is booked only very rare and playing in front of an nearly empty venue. In my point of view it is a pitty that such a great voice is cutting herself but that is where I have to say: More fool you!
