The Man-Eating Tree Article

28.12.2011 The Man-Eating Tree

Hyde-Park, Osnabrück (Germany)

(Olympus XZ-1)

The evening was opened by the Finnish band The Man-Eating Tree. Founded three years ago by the former Sentenced drummer Vesa Ranta. That was unfortunately not with them on this tour as he was waiting for his addition to his family at home. As replacement they could get hold of Aksu Hanttu who did a perfect job.
The band plays some more gloomy melancholic metal that could easily be listened. There were songs of their debut album "Vine" as well as of their just released second piece "Harvest". Although it was a short and quite good show the audience did not really catch fire. The reactions were quite restricted therefore. The band should not be scared of this as they were a quite reasonable opener.
