After so much solemn music there was directly afterwards a stark contrast program. With Visions Of Atlantis there was good mood power/symphonic metal from Austria standing on the schedule. Already last year at the same place Maxi Nil was introduced as new singer and now the new album "Delta" released at the beginning of the year should be presented.
Maxi and her male opposite Mario Plank directly from the start knew to convince and took the audience with them. The atmosphere was excellent no matter whether it were pieces of the current Album like "Elegy Of Existence" or older ones like "Last Shut Of Your Eyes". It is still a little bit strange to hear the older songs not with the well known voices but they were really good sung by Maxi. There was one catchy song after the other and also the atmosphere rose from minute to minute. Only the new single "Maria Magdalena", a cover version of the 80s song from Sandra could have been left apart. That did not really fit into the program. Anyhow, never mind! Especially this time the keyboarder Martin Harb was standing out presenting himself as real stage hog and right before the encore took the microphone to direct some words to the audience.
Overall a really entertaining gig making a lot of fun. Musically nothing overwhelming and I would have put them to an earlier slot but nevertheless they really knew to convince.
