Metal Female Voices Fest IX

Oktoberhallen Wieze (Belgium)

(Pentax k-x with Tamron SP AF 17-50mm 2.8 XR Di II LD Asp IF and Sigma AF 50-150mm 2.8 EX DC APO HSM II)

The first American band of the festival was Benedictum. It was quite impressive by what power the valkyre Veronica Freeman swirled across the stage. But not only the woman itself had an incredible power, but her voice, too.
With classic heavy metal quite soon they conquered large parts of the unfortunately still not very filled venue. Besides their great solos of guitarist Pete Wells and the never ending encouragings to follow them by bassist Chris Shrum Veronica draw attention to herself or her other band members. They played a lively cross section through their three former released albums "Uncreation", "seasons Of Tragedy" and the current one "Dominion.
I did not know the band beforehand but found the show and the music quite entertaining. It was nothing that knocked me of my feed but anyhow quite decent made metal. Just the right stuff to make the time until the headliner of the evening Leaves' Eyes and Doro pass by quicker but it was also nothing more than that.
